Important clarification

Competence, standards and highway authority requirements

Simply RSA's auditors are supported by relevant professional experience, audit experience and formal training. Where a scheme is subject to specific highway authority requirements, the applicable requirements need to be considered when establishing the audit team and scope.

Membership of SoRSA or holding a Road Safety Audit Certificate of Competency does not, by itself, guarantee acceptance or approval by a particular highway authority. The requirements applicable to the individual scheme should always be confirmed.
